Paddy Carr has stepped down as Donegal’s senior football manager after just six league games in charge.
Carr only took the role at Donegal last October, overseeing six league games and two Dr McKenna Cup fixtures.
He only manage to secure one victory with the side, against Kerry back in January and went on to lose four out of his next five games, drawing with Galway in the fifth.

“CLG Dhún na nGall regret to announce that Paddy Carr is resigning as Donegal manager with immediate effect,” the Donegal county board said on Wednesday.

The country board released a statement on the matter including some words from Carr himself.
“CLG Dhún na nGall regret to announce that Paddy Carr is resigning as Donegal manager with immediate effect,” reads the statement.
“Paddy’s Statement is as follows: ‘Following a discussion with some senior members of the Donegal football team, I want to announce that I’m stepping away from the position of Donegal team Manager with immediate effect. I want nothing more than the best for Donegal and that will never change.'”
