Nick Kyrgios’ ex-girlfiend breaks silence over assault allegations against tennis star

Nick Kyrgios’ ex-girlfriend has broken her silence following assault charges brought against the Australian tennis star.

Kyrgios has been one of the hot topics of this year’s Wimbledon. He will be taking to centre court once again this afternoon in his bid to make it through to the semi-finals.

Unfortunately for Kyrgios, who has had his fair share of bad press through the tournament to date, some rather untimely allegations have emerged against him.

It was revealed yesterday that he had been charged with an alleged assault against his ex-girlfriend and is due to appear in court in Australia next month.

Naturally, his fans considered it rather convenient that said allegations emerged while he was competing in the biggest tennis tournament on the planet.

However, as is reported by the Daily Mail, the alleged assault was actually reported to the police in December of last year and is said to have occurred several months earlier.

Following accusations against his ex-girlfriend, Chiara Passari, that she has tried to ruin his crowning moment, she has hit back at those with that thought process.

In response to a follower who was defending Ms Passari, she said, “Thank you. Finally someone smart enough to understand how the justice system works.”

Ultimately, until this case is debated before the courts, nobody should be sending any sort of abuse Passari’s way. After all, she is the accuser, the alleged victim here…
