🚨 Mike Tyson and Jake Paul set to break staggering 61-year boxing record when they fight

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are set to break a long standing record when they clash on July 20th.

The pair meet in a professionally sanctioned contest that will be broadcast by the streaming giant, Netflix.

‘Iron Mike’ makes a sensational return to the ring against a much younger opponent in Paul.

The bout has been heavily criticised due to the former ‘baddest man on the planet’ being 58 years of age on fight night taking on ‘The Problem Child’ who is a mere 27-years old.

And according to ESPN, the huge 31-year age gap is the biggest in pro boxing history beating the 24-year disparity between 49-year-old Archie Moore and 25-year-old Mike DiBiase when they met on March 15, 1963.

Hall of fame promoter, Frank Warren has slammed the fact the bout has been approved as a professional contest.

Speaking to talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan and Jim White he said: “I’m a big fan of Jake Paul as a promoter and his business partner Nakissa [Bidarian].

“They’re very smart operators and they obviously see this is fight will generate public interest and money.

“But let’s get it right, Mike Tyson is 58 years of age and he shouldn’t be fighting. It’s as simple as that.

“If it was an exhibition, you’d get half away with that, but the fact that Texas have licenced the 58-year-old to fight.

“What does anybody need to say about that? Anyone with an ounce of brains knows that it is ridiculous…

“Let’s get it right, you can be on a motorway stuck in a traffic jam and you get to the end of it and all it is is people who have stopped to look at a crash and that’s what this is.”
