Lennox Lewis has revealed the best fighter he took on during his illustrious career.
Lewis fought the likes of Mike Tyson, Vitali Klitschko, and David Tua but choose Evander Holyfield as the best fighter he ever faced.

Speaking to The Ring, Lewis said: “Evander was very talented, although I was disappointed that he used his head as a punch in those fights.”
“The word was that he was the greatest heavyweight of our era but nobody could say that until he fought Lennox Lewis.”
He continued: “In the first fight he was overconfident, singing during his ring walk, so I went after him and he was shocked to get that draw. Second time around he knew what to expect so it was a tougher fight but I still won comfortably.”
“Holyfield was the best opponent I faced in my career.”
Lewis retired in 2003 with a record of (41-2-1) having avenged both losses and beating every man he ever faced.
BS…Vitali Klitschko whipped.his ass and he refused to give him a rematch after a medical stoppage due to cuts when Klitschko was way ahead on points. He is a great no doubt but never thought him to be a sore loser.

Exactly, I saw that fight vitali was whopping his ass, he was pissed when they stopped it.
Talking utter crap. Lewis won the last couple of rounds indicating that he was warmed up and Klit was knackered and on his way out. Round 6 Klit took a massive beating and was pulled out to save his sight for the rest of his life. He got well over 60 stitches from the huge gash to his eyebrow, he had a cut on his cheekbone, his lip had a massive flap of skin hanging off and he had cuts inside his mouth from just 6 rds with an old out of shape Lewis. Imagine if it continued. Stop talking crap.
Utter shite. Klitchko would have been stopped if the fight had carried on. The cuts could have finished his career. Title fights are 12 rounds not 6 or 7.
Did Klitschko not lose the fight because he needed medical assistance? Same medical stoppage for Klitschko against Chris Byrd. Bigger loss to people who paid to see these fights.
Vs Vitali he lost but then again it was at the end of Lennox career.

Lewis took the fight on 3 weeks notice. He was 38 and past his prime. And he won, period.
I challenge everyone on here to watch the 2nd Lewis vs Holyfield fight with the volume down and tell me Holyfield did not win that fight.

I was the Garden that night with 5 Brit pals. The round by round punches landed had Lennox so far ahead Evander fans were streaming out before the result was announced. That was the biggest (apparently) fixed fight I’ve ever seen. Lennox won by probably 9 points……
I would love to see Tyson, fight forman in both primes and love to see Lennox fight both of them, pound for pound in his weight division, I would have to say, Duran, Hell he was knocking guys out in higher weight divisions, taking that same smack in the division he was in, nobody would of beat him.
