The European giants of rugby Leinster rugby had to make an apology as ‘Ooh Ah, Up the Ra!’ was played at the RDA after Leinster’s victory over Connacht in the United Rugby Championship match last night in Dublin.

A Leinster spokesperson issued a statement apologising for the song being played:

“A song was played over the PA at the RDS Arena this evening that shouldn’t have been played.

“Leinster Rugby has taken measures to ensure it doesn’t happen again and apologises sincerely for its use and for any offence caused.”

Hi Ruaidhri, that's not correct. Celtic Symphony played, which is certainly a strange choice) but was faded out before the offending lyrics you mentioned.

Not a good look for Leinster rugby, we saw the backlash the Irish women’s team received only a few weeks ago, I wonder will the rugby received something similar.
