Des Cahill the Dubliner is set to step down as host of The Sunday Game highlights show with immediate effect. He posted a video to his twitter today with the announcement, big changes happening this year on The Sunday Game with Pat Spillane and Colm O’Rourke also gone and Joe Brolly fired last year!

Has the social media played a big a part in deciding who stays and goes, because there’s no doubt about it, whoever is on The Sunday Game panel, comes in for abuse online for sharing their opinion.
