Former Meath footballer Denis Kealy has sadly passed away after being involved in a car accident.

Denis Kealy, in his 40s, died after a single-car crash at around 2.30pm on Monday on the R154 at Piercetown, near Dunboyne in Co Meath.

He was the driver and the only person in the car.

We wonโ€™t forget that famous Meath team he was apart that did three Leinster titles in a row and won the All-Ireland in 1999, legendary Meath team that.
