Joanne Cantwell and Donal Óg Cusack had a lively conversation today ahead of a mouth watering day of hurling in the Munster Championship. The presenter of The Sunday Game Joanne Cantwell started off with asking the former Cork goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack to clarify his comments that he made on Morning Ireland.
Who was right in this incident, it made for good TV to watch no doubt about it. Some people are for Joanne Cantwell some others are for Donal Óg. See some of the comments below;
Absolutely entitled to ask him the question. It’s a GAA programme and this was a major GAA topic for the past week. Not overly taken by her as a presenter generally but it was a legitimate question and the man with an opinion on football last week suddenly wanted to talk hurling

She was agressive to somebody who has done far more for the GAA than most.She should have accepted he didnt want to answer the question.

The amount of lads accusing Joanne Cantwell of showboating for asking Donal Óg a reasonable question in my timeline…! Michael Lyster would’ve asked the same thing, as would any other half competent journalist.

Joanne Cantwell, the definition of lazy journalism. She hasn’t listened to his show she’s been told by producers to hit him with it. Donal Óg wasn’t gonna step back https://t.co/lB0ljejSpb

Regardless we had another massive day of GAA action and Donal Óg Cusack will surely be happy with the amount of free to air time the hurling got this weekend. And again the Munster hurling Championship doesn’t fail to disappoint.
