N’Golo Kante was the victim of an alleged ambush before the 2018 World Cup according to French outlet L’Equipe.
According to Antoine Bourlon and Thymoté Pinon, the Chelsea midfielder was enjoying a meal in a Hauts-de-Seine restaurant, before he was invited into a dark vehicle and a pistol was placed on his knee.
Kante has denied that this happened, but the article also goes on to state that he was told: “Your agent, you either leave him or we shoot him.”

The Frenchman also went on record saying: “Nothing has happened for all this time and I have nothing to add. I am quite discreet and focused on Chelsea where I am very happy.
