Alexis Sanchez could make SHOCK January return to Premier League football

Former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is being linked with a surprise return to the Premier League.

Sanchez was widely regarded as one of the best players in the Premier League during his time at Arsenal. Having signed from Barcelona, he immediately established himself as a key figure in Arsene Wenger’s attacking line.

However, as is often the case at Arsenal, Sanchez decided to move on in search of a bigger contract and a more plausible opportunity to win the major honours on offer in football.

Unfortunately for the Chilean, he joined Man United over Man City, a decision that saw his career take a drastic turn for the worse. He has never truly recovered and is now merely a bit-part player at Inter Milan.

Sanchez is now being linked with a return to the Premier League, but not with one of the big boys, rather with 15th-place Everton. According to The Sun, he has been offered to the Toffees this month.

It remains to be seen if Everton would be willing to gamble on a player whose best days are behind him in hope that he could steer them clear of the relegation zone – but they did it recently with James Rodriguez.

Samuel Eto’o and Wayne Rooney are two more washed-up veterans that Everton have taken a punt on in recent seasons. Could Sanchez be next in line? We certainly wouldn’t rule it out…
