As expected, when these two sides meet, there are fireworks and despite the early kick-off, Saturday was no exception.

Erling Haaland opened the scoring with a patented clinical finish before Trent Alexander-Arnold drew his side level late in the game.

But the fieriest encounter was saved until after the final whistle when Guardiola appeared to clash with Nunez on the touchline.

Speaking after the game, the Spanish manager stated that ‘nothing happened’.

“Nothing happened. He’s stronger than me! Nothing happened,” Guardiola said.

“It’s not frustration. I’m really pleased.

“If you talk about that in the second question of the press conference, you are not on my good side. Maybe for the last question I’ll answer but nothing happened.”
